hope all of you are fine.

i have few queries regarding bank statement.

my father has enough money to support my master's studies in canada but the problem is my father doesn't have maintained/standby statement of 25-30 lac in his account, rather he has 70,000,00 pkr=72,000 cdn $ in form of prize bonds in locker.

i desire to apply for winter 13 intake, but if i would go for maintaining my father's statement for next 4 months i might get late.
plz help me and suggest of getting out of this trouble !!!

Sorry dude, not sure about the bank statement, I'm sure someone will help you out.

However, may I ask why Pakistan is in quotes?

U have to show 4 month bnk stat... i never saw any case of visa on prize bonds if u dont want to miss winter session second option is go for loan letter i have seen a member getting visa on loan letter but ratio is very low

it is in quotes because only applicants from pak. will able to understand and answer my question. othrwise no specfic reasons any1 can answer who have knowledge...

I'm pretty sure you can show prize bonds if they are in your dad's name. Other than that you have to show his sources of income as much as possible. Show bank statements as well no matter how much amount they contain and show as many assets (properties) and their valuations. Should be good enough. You can also try explaining in a note that your father invests and saves your money in the form of prize bonds etc. I don't know why it should be a problem.

brother wfsoomro !

prize bond are issued by state bank of pakistan, they aren't issued on my dad's name or any other person in pakistan...

any1 can get them from banks in exchange of money !

Oops sorry I was confusing them with Saving Certificates. In that case I would suggest you to consult a professional for advice.

As for the guy who got rejection, maybe it wasn't the prize bonds, but the fact that you showed your uncle as a sponsor that mainly contributed in the rejection of your application?
