I think it really doesnt matter if you have a legal proof that you have enough funds available for you studies. They are more concerned about the amount and a satisfaction that the money available has been obtained from legal means etc. You just have to mention it on the Application Form that you'll fill and submit along with the application. It clearly states the "Source of Funding" and you have three options there.
"Self, Parents/ Guardian, Others".

However, I am personally of the opinion that if you have been working prior to going abroad for education, you should deposit the required amount in your own account, keep the money there for sometime, and then attach a bank statement of your own account with the visa application. I might be wrong but I guess this would make a strong impression that you've been a responsible professional working in the industry and your are financially strong on your own as well.

As per my personal experience, my friend who is already studying in the same course I have applied simply told me to transfer the amount into my account and provide a bank statement of it when applying for the visa. According to him, he had depositted the money just a week before he applied for the visa and his application was successful. Plus, if you have funding available from any other means (professor/ scholarship), this would really lessen the burden of having a strong financial statement with you. be it yours or your parents.

Best of luck!
