do u have a joint account with your wife?

as ur saying that it is a current account then u can keep the required funds in it for one year tuition and living and apply

for one year funds they will not ask proof only if ur transactions for 6 month statement are strong

Well you can say that the account is dead, lol.. coz no transactions were made to that account.. Its a saving account on just my wife's name., We do have a joint current account but required funds are not enough in it...

I am thinking to close current saving account with maximum amount(Coz I don't think that Joint account holder can't be added once account is opened) and transfer the same amount in joint account. Attach both accounts statement and send a cover letter explaining what was reason for all this tiny mess.. I think VO can compare the amount that were there in previous account and transfered to new account. It don't have to that strict.. coz it's there in account for over 10 months.. not 1 or 3 or 4 months..

HI zeenat

as long as you have liquid funds available it will not be a problem

1 month old bank statement is better

You can always add a member as a joint account holder to an existing account. The processing takes few weeks (2-3) but can be absolutely done.

Contact your bank and they can do it very easily. All you need is to fill up two forms (ur wife and yourself) and you have to attach your identity proof.

This way, the funds will be shown under both of your name and your issue might get resolved.

Thanks,
GS

They ask for a 4 month statement. Some people submit past 6 months statement.

IT returns is for past 2 or 3 years.

Parent account is good as well. You need a letter from the account holder that the funds are for your studies. You also need to show IT returns and other financial documents of your parents.
