I am from karachi
I want to study 2 year Information technology diploma course my diploma fees is 13000$ per year .How much Funds I need to show do i have to show to funds fro whole 2 year? or just one year 13000+10000=23000.
I would appreciate your help.

hello jordi,
u have to show 1st semester fees (1st yr fees will better if u can) + 10000$ GIC, is enough to apply for study permit.

From what I can understand, and this is given on the website of the Canadian High Commission, payment of first year fees (or atleast the first semester) + the GIC is sufficient to get the Visa. Generally the above plus a buffer amount of $5,000 is assumed to cover the cost of studies for the first year. However I have seen many people show more, including ITR, CA Statement, FD's, House Deed and even liquid funds for two years to strengthen their case.

I think that from what I have read, I have not seen anybody being rejected only because the showed only first year fees. So go ahead.

from when did Jordi alba left barcelona and settled in karachi ? ..lol ...just kidding.......

Better to show 1st year fees and GIC + 4 years bank statement+ fathers/mother's ITR or your ITR. This wil make your case strong.

Hey would you feel that this would suffice? GIC+1st year tuition+ a buffer amount in Account of $5,000 odd. Apart from that I'm planning to show the second year amount in FD's and Shares, both which can be converted to liquid funds to more than cover 2nd year. Also have a house deed. However can't show ITR currently of my parents. Would that be an issue?
