I am showing a letter from my FI indicating FDs of ~ INR 2,500,000 (CAD 50,000). Is it mandatory to attach all FD receipts or is it okay if I attached 2 FD receipts totaling ~ INR 1,500,000 (CAD 30,000). The reason I am reluctant to scan all of them is that they are in smaller denominations and some of them have not been renewed.

If your letter states CAD 25,000 worth of FDs, then you will have to submit the FD receipts for the same. It does not matter whether it has been renewed or not, what matters is that it should be in your name. On the other hand, if you meet the fund requirement by showing only CAD 30,000, then you can consider getting a fresh letter from your bank mentioning only those FDs.
