Bank money 4 months old

Hi

I have heard from a lot of people that the money that we show in our bank statements must be available in the account for atleast the past 4 months. But I have not seen such specifications on any Canada visa website. Can u guys please share some link or info on this... thanks!

Yes I saw that it says 4 month statements but where does it say that the money needs to be there for 4 months? My first 3 months statements can have a balance of $0 and the 4th month can have balance of $ 100 000 but surely it doesnt work that way does it?

Oh man, are you serious?

Look it hasn't been mentioned anywhere that your money should be in your account for 4 months. But the point of showing past 4 months statement is to show that you are strong financially. If you have zero balance in 3 months and then a hell of money in the fourth month it definitely gives the impression that you staged up this whole drama for visa.

If you can justify this jump in your bank statement then I think it should not be a big problem.

I guess if an account has a substantial rise in money and the owner can show suff like he sold off a piece of land or sth like that, i guess the case should be legitimate! Thanks for the suggestions.

That what I did , I sold my car and I showed the Sale contract of it
I have not seen yet if it works, so Let us see
