bank letter vs. statement

Hi,I just called my bank and they told me they can give an statement which is printed on their watermarked papers with my name and six month balance but they are not able to give me a letter. However, statement has the same information. Anyone, knows if this good enough? what else I can do?

Some banks are reluctant to give letters but readily give statements.

I think bank statements of the last 6 months are sufficient to show as proof of income.

Just make sure your name, account number and other details appear on all the statements.

thanks so if my name is appear in shortened form can I just mention it in name affidavit (my name is long).

what if the bank statement don't show the currency?

Bank statements should be translated?
