Bank account in the USA for financial proof

Hi guys

I am planning to apply for a visitor's visa to Canada ,but my bank account is in the United States. I used to have a green card but then decided to come back to my home country, but I work as a contractor for an American Company that is depositing my payments to my old bank account.
So my question is : should i submit banks statements from the US or from my home country? would that be an issue for home ties? thanks

As long as it is your money and you have immediate access to it then it is fine.
