True, I heard a few candidates visited Consulate office in Bangalore and they were not allowed inside. The team has been very stubborn and they are just taking their own time to respond and any mails or visits are not affecting their process. Even mails are being replied after a week minimum. I would advice to just be patient and await as files are processed in order and the pending ones can guess their approx dates. People who submitted in August and are scheduled to fly in first week of sept are all at their mercy. A fair process should not revoke five week guideline and should adhere first come first serve...
