Well as far as diploma courses are concern, visa is a bit tough. It would be better if you can open a student account before apply for visa. BUT Will you be able to open student file from any Bangladeshi Bank (as per Bangladesh Bank rules) for diploma course? I doubt.

Yes, i do agree that getting a Diploma Student Visa from Bangladesh is tough. That's why i am little bit concern.
No, i did not open any student file. I paid my first semester fee (Around $7000) from Doha (Qatar) Bank as my father is working over there.
Can anybody tell that our VFS office in Bangladesh provide consultancy services for student visa?

As far I know, VFSGlobal in Bangladesh doesn't provide any consultancy service to students.

Hello everyone

Thanks for starting this thread. I have obtained offer of admission in Concordia University for the GDBA program starting this Fall 2014. I have also obtained the CAQ for Quebec. Now I want to apply for study visa but I'm facing a few issues.

Hello Nusrat,

Great to hear from you. My fiancee also applied for GDBA program at concordia university and applying for visa now. Could you please share your academic profile. Have you completed your Bachelors already? If so, in which field? Business Administration?

For diploma degrees, it is hard to get a Visa but I hope Graduate Diploma is considered more reasonable than regular diploma.

Hi guys.

Any updates from anyone yet? This wait seems ages

Is anyone currently applying for the visa? Looks like they have a rout in the VFS these days? Its really crowded and serials/tokens need to be taken from very early in the morning...what's going on there?

Also, I heard they moved to a new address: Delta Life Tower 4th Floor, Plot-37, Road-90, Gulshan North, Dhaka 1212. Is that true?

Thanks
Faisal

Hello
I am a citizen of Bangladesh but currently i am living in South Korea. I have been accepted for the Masters Program of Memorial University of Newfoundland (Oil and Gas Engineering) with full funding. I applied for the visa through VAC South Korea. Luckily i got the email of medical report submission within 9 days of application. Since i was informed for the medical examination, i thought that my visa was almost 80% confirmed ;D. Within two weeks after the medical examination my passport, letter of refusal and all other documents dispatched to my address. CIC refused my application for 5 reasons (No Medical Reason).

Actually i submitted documents according the checklist of IMM 5483. As there was no mention about study plan, official fee schedule, current activity in Korea so i didn't submit any documents regarding those issues. Actually i am pursuing my MSc Degree in south korea and working as a research assistant.

I think that my application was refused for insufficient documents.

I reapplied for study permit on 14th April 2014.

My question is: Is there any possibility of acceptance after being rejection?
Are they going to inform me for the medical examination again?

Hlw, I am new to this group. I am on the way of getting an admission offer for MS program (with thesis) in UoS with full funding from Professor. Program will be started on January, 2015. However, I got some queries as I saw many posts regarding visa rejection. And, the answers are important for me to decide somethings, as I have another option in Sweden.

My profile
MS- Will be completed in December, 2014 (Now in 2nd semester)
Undergraduate: 3.6/4.00
HSC: 5.00
SSC: 5.00
IELTS: 6.5
No employment history

Queries:
1. For financial statement:
My father is a Govt. primary school teacher. And, we have the following financial status:
Properties (Land+house): Around 1 cr
Bank Balance (Fixed deposit): 3 lakhs.
Liquid money: Yet not (But, we would able to keep around 10 lakhs)

Now, I would like to know, as my tuition fees+living expense will be given by professor, so if this is sufficient for satisfying financial status? And, what should I have to do in case of Tax clearance certificate?

2. Without 6 months research assistant-ship , I have no job experience. Whether this will affect in getting VISA or not?

3. In case of travel history; I only visited India for training purpose. If this is sufficient?

4. I am studying MS in Bangladesh. And, also intend to study MS program in Canada again (I could able to put strong points against this in SoP). However, if this will create any problem?

Other things are almost OK. Though its hard to gauge, but how many chances I have to get study permit.

Waiting for the response.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there FAAziz

Its good to know someone else is also going for GDBA. I was (& still am) worried since everyone's saying getting a visa for diploma courses is difficult. I've completed my bachelors in businesse administration in 2010 & have been working since.

Yesterday I went to vfs just to see they are shifting & weren't accept any new application that day. So hopefully I'll be applying on this Sunday in the new office *fingers crossed*

Anyone had any luck w/ visa yet?

First of all Congrats for getting admission in MUN.

Well your situation is really different. If they have any other issues to refuse your study permit then why they asked for your medical? Now you cannot predict CIC. They have some worst officials in the world with them. You can always apply again and do clarify what are the papers you need to submit. There are examples of getting visa after three/four refusals. So don't worry. All the best.

I have a ques to you. Did you receive your acceptance letter from MUN by regular mail or express mail?

You can apply again, but make sure to satisfy those reasons stated in the refusal letter.
It is very rare to get refused, after getting a full stipend!

Anyone applied for STUDY PERMIT yet? Which form of application you prefer (ONLINE or VFS)???

I applied yesterday. It was some experience my God! Only took me 11 hours to get done with submitting the app!!! I reached vfs new office at 9am & got out at 8pm!

Anyway I heard they are starting the online application from May 1. I guess online will be better & might save you time. & do read the instructions for filling up the forms very carefully. I saw many applicants waiting the whole day & then found out they have made some mistakes in the forms & they had to go back.
