Dear all,
Yesterday I received MRP along all of the family members. How can I update this? How many pages of each new pp I have to send to SGVO?
I'm with IP since 11 Apr'13.
Expecting suggestion from the person having similar experience.
Regards
Uttara11

Write a forwarding letter with your application details and your intension to update all your family members updated passports. you may also attach updated police clearence if you wish to. Attach the first 04 pages of your passports containing information only and post by courier you can track. Just remember to check the address you wish to post, SGVO or AUVO.
But still I think it's best to update everything when you receive your Medical request. There they will instruct you everything, and as it will cost you 3000 taka approx to DHL.

Best of luck mate.

Good and complete suggestion indeed! You can try T&T (Courier) also. They took only 3 days last time I sent but DHL took seven days to the same destination!

One of my friend, (not member of this forum, noc 3112, applied in 1st week of march'11) has got In Process status from 1st April. Still his MR not came.

Dear AzMO & Uttara11,

I got MRP passports of my family and mine in 2011, after I've submitted my immigration application to CIC. I sent CSE to SGVO regarding the new MRP passport issues and whether I should update them or not several times and did not receive any reply from them. So I did not send the update of MRP Passports to SGVO. I plan not to send any update at this stage, as any sort of communication to SGVO/AUVO may add additional time and may cause delay to processing of respective file(s). That's what I perceived from my GCMS reports received on March, 2013. All sorts of communication was stored in their system against my file. And it will surely not speed up the process if not indicated for special circumstances like if your MR has already been sent but you have not received that.

As I have reference of my hand written passport (photocopy of that I submitted with my application package) on MRP, so I think it will not cause any trouble. And ss suggested by hhshumon, I will send a cover letter describing this event along with the passports, when the opportunity will come.

Take care.

May Allah bless us all.

Rakib.

Thanks for ur valuable reply.....but I am confused because my old passport will be expired on next month...does it create any problem or delay to svo to process further of my file? Or I should wait till the expire date to see anything happen.

I sent all my documents through FEDEX all the times. It takes 3 days to reach it. You can track it as well.

It should not create any problem if you have reference of your o;d passport number in your MRP. If you have reference number of your old passport in MRP, then probably they rubber stamped your old passport with the information of new MRP which is issued 'IN LIEU OF' your old passport. It was the scsnario in my case. All I need was to show my old passport while receiving the new one and needed to go to the designated room where they stamped my old passport with this information.

If I were in your case (and there is possibility that it would happen for me also), I will remain quiet till getting my MR.

Rakib.

Regarding MRP: In new passport, Old passport number is mentioned. So there is no problem with that. But anyone can send the new MRP to SGVO. I did the same thing and found in GCMS that they have updated my new passport number.
