Guys

I am planning to marry from bd. But seeing the cic website that the wait time is 30 months is scary. But what I see from this thread that the current lead time from filing the application here in Canada and getting approved in Singapore is about 8 months on average. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Hi Alex-78,

Yes, you are correct it takes approximately 6-8 month if you have a complete application package with strong supporting document.

Regards,
SAMHR

Hi SAMHR,

I see that you have a ppr on 26th. Did you receive it by email?
On my spouse's Application Status page, they have added a new line:

We received your application for permanent residence on ****.
We started processing your application on <AOR2 Date>. <------------new line
Medical results have been received.

Does your status page have this new line too?

Good Morning All,

I have received the Passport request today. hoping a smooth processing. :)

Hi john_petrucci,

Yes, it was by email. I also noticed a change in my ecas. they have added a new line. but its different then AOR2. my AOR2 date is June 2, 2015 and Processing start date is may 25, 2015.

Thanks

They added a new line for me too in ECAS. But it is the AOR2 date. I wonder if this means that they touched the file at the Singapore VO. But normally, from what I have seen, they don't open the file so soon, which is why I'm a bit confused. ECAS shows: "We started processing XXXX's application on August 3, 2015" and that is the date the file was received at SVO. Hmmm. I wonder what now and how much longer is the next wait...

Has anyone sent any docs to SVO recently? I know that Passports are sent through VFS. But how about other docs such as copy of passport bio pages? DHL/FedEx?
