Dear all pre June applicants
I am also in same boat. It's about 16.5 months that I sent my full docs to VO Singapore. I mailed VO 3 times for any progress but no response from them.so I sent caips req recently.please pray for me...I am tired for waiting..waiting... :'(
I checked CIC website today and found that average processing duration is at least 17 months. You have to wait at least 0.5 month more.

Dear shk76,

Politely I differ with your opinion and express my grief to convey even worse logic here. It is written on the top of that table (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp) that "The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices outside Canada. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Processing times are subject to change." So, the statistics is based on the files already processed. It is not a prediction on the file to be processed. So, Mr. drnavmz may have to wait more than 0.5 months.

Praying for you so that you get response within 17 months. Please inform us when you succeed by PM or here.

All the Best anyway.

Excellent, Indiana, I advocate you. Many members try to show it is standard time period or committed one. But it is simply a statistics. +1

Dear Indiana Jones,
that is why I put the "at least" phrase before 0.5 month. Anyway, thanks for pointing it out as because it could produce some false positive expectation..... ;D

Somebody told me that asking for CAIP note may cause delay of file processing.
Does anyone have idea about it?

So far I as I know, CAIPS does not have any impact on your file processing, neither (+)ly nor (-)ly.

Thanks to shk76, Indiana and deba avik for meticulous discussion on my post. I also saw that Singapore is gradually raising processing time. Now it is 17 months for 80% cases.
Now I am waiting for caips note to know wt is going on my case.
But I saw a spread sheet in trackitt.com some cases of Bangladeshi whose VO are Singapore contemporary of my case got MR even PP request. I don't know how it happened?
Hope for the best for all pre June applicant..

Dear shk76,
I asked a senior Mr.Qorax of a forum about the same question when I planned to send for caips req. He replied even VO didn't know that I have asked for caips note. I can request for caips note for several times because it is disclosed from an another athourity and I have rights to do that. It will not affect on your case processing.

Thanks to deba_avik and drnavmz for the information. Getting CAIP note is going to take about one month, isn't it?

It usually takes 45 days. You can get more info from here:

Thanks. I thought it was possible only when my status will upgrade. However, I could not figure out the meaning of "Nomination" and " File transfer"

Is it good or is it bad? What if it just lengthen the process?
