Dear friends.

I have 4-5 month for sitting to IELTS exam.
I need to achieve 8 band per each module.

I need help/suggestion for any method, books, or even a plan to reach my goal, please?

Thank you for your help!

How about you get a copy of practice test (you can google it and there will be a bunch for free online) and actually work through the entire test by yourself so you can know your strengths and weaknesses - after that, you can work from there to improve your weak points

from my experience as i took it 3 times , every time the exam got its own conditions , for instance last exam the last section in reading part was awful compared with all the previous , also on the second exam all parts were fine except the Speaking . so my advice is to prepare your self well and in the exam take care from the TIME.

My advice: Timing is VERY important. When I took IELTS, I was confident that I would do well in reading and writing. I did not do very well on both, just because I was a bit slow. The reading section was horrible. The passages were too long and too hard. Also, even though the writing section was easy, I didn't do enough practice of writing essays and ended up with a mediocre score.

So:
1) Practice A LOT, from as many books and CDs and audios and videos as you can. Also practice speaking in front of mirror as much as possible.
2) Pay special attention to timing.

Hope this helps...

Some points to help people who are thinking of taking IELTS:
a) Plan your exam date for example give sufficient time for your self to practice.
b) Understand the various question types.
c) Understand and practice the approach for each category.
d) Refresh your English grammar.

Shahid

Use metaphors and similes, idiomatic expressions. Widen your vocabulary, do not utilize simple words. Avoid redundancy. Correct spelling. Legible handwriting. Focus especially on the listening test. Do not fall into the trap of trying to hear the exact word that is being asked in the questionnaire especially from question 21 onwards. Practice, practice, practice. Try to speak English all the time starting today. Do not read non English Articles starting today. Watch only English movies starting today. Listen English speaking radio stations. Listen English music not just to enjoy the melody but to get the exact lyrics and understanding the thought.

My band score? It's 7.5 because I did not do above things I have mentioned above :P.

Hi, are you planning to use the score for immigration? Isn't it 7 for NOC 0 or A and 5 for NOC B?

He's probably applying under FSW where higher language score gives more points.
