Bahraini applying for TRV

Hey everyone,

I applied for a visit visa and submitted my application online on November 1st.
I have been to the US 7 times during the last 5 years (which obviously should be enough to tell that I don't intend to stay anywhere illegally).

I just had a couple questions..

1. How long does it take Abu Dhabi office to process visas? Or, will it even be processed there, since I applied online?

2. Travel plans: I stated that I am waiting for my US visa to be renewed, and that's why I dont have a ticket/plans. I visit the US every year, and it just would be great to be great to see the other side of the border when I'm on vacation.

3. I got an email saying to check my account status (status update), but when I checked there were no changes and the status is still "open". What could it have been?

1. TRV processing time for Bahrain applications is 46 days. This is only an estimate and could be faster/take longer in your case.

As you have applied online, your application could be processed by any IRCC global visa office.


2. I would have waited for the new US B1/B2 visa + more concrete travel plans (like including a day-by-day itinerary for your Canada visit)..... before applying for a Canada TRV.


3. This is normal. It just indicates that some internal visa processes have taken place on your application

I already got my US visa renewed but it was under administrative process, that's why I thought I would apply for a TRV just in case the TRV takes long too.


Btw, is it possible to apply for a Canadian visit visa while I'm on vacation in the US?
