Baffled at reasons for rejection

So.....just been turned down for express entry.

I'm sure this is a familiar story but honestly we weren't expecting it at all.

My partner is a doctor with almost 4000 patients under her care We scored almost perfect marks in everything. A friend with identical qualifications got in today and we didn't.

The explanation was so 'wishy washy' that I don't even know what we have been turned down for exactly. It seems to question her credentials (which are immaculate) If my partner did not have the qualifications to practice medicine, she would not have a license to practice. She would not have a work permit and would not have all those patients.

We are both absolutely baffled.

If anyone could shine a light on exactly what this means or advise how to move forward. It would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Did your partner verify all here documents thru physiciansapply.ca/ (I think the same website issue the ECA report)

It took 10 months to have everything verified before we were arrived and before we were issued license to practice.

We have been here over two years now.

Would you mind explaining more about what happenned? When did you apply? CEC? PNP? What license do you have in Canada?
My husband is also a doctor and he has been working in Canada for almost 3 years

In which step were you "rejected"? Are you talking about during the profile creation process on Express Entry or after obtaining an invitation to actually apply for PR status by CIC? I ask because initially I was "rejected" but it was a technical issue so I did the process again and ensured that all entry items were accounted for. The website is clunky, to say the least.

Just to make sure - you do know that, no matter how you verified your credentials before, there is a procedure established by IRCC that you'll have to follow? Some things might be obvious, like your partner's credentials, since she has her license and all those patients, or like English native speakers being able to communicate in their own language, but they still have to take IELTS for Express Entry, like the rest of us, and you'll still have to follow the procedure to the letter, no matter how obvious your eligibility already is.

I'm just saying, the verification procedure for your work permit might be different from the one for immigration.

Andy547,

Please post the wording of your rejection letter here, or else no one will be able to help you.

It is still not clear if you just created an EE profile with a response of "ineligible", or if you had received an ITA already and after processing actually received a rejection of the application.

Which is it?

PS: Posting pictures is difficult and typically requires hosting on an external server. Retyping the critical sections of your rejection statement is probably the easiest way.

It seems you (or your partner rather) applied under the CEC program, is that correct?

Unfortunately, self-employed work experience in Canada does not count as work experience under this program.

"Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (for example, on a co-op work term) does not count under this program."
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

If your partner only has Canadian experience while being self-employed, she unfortunately does not qualify for CEC, and the reason for rejection is valid.

They talk about qualification and then about being self-employed.

In terms of self-employment - self-employment is not an issue as long as it legit...

hm... someone pointed it that this CEC - i also guess thats the reason. :(

Self-employed experience is not valid for CEC. If they applied under CEC (which I think they did) and just demonstrated self-employed work experience, they are not eligible.

Andy547,

Did you partner practice anywhere else before coming to Canada?

You may qualify under FSW (under this program, foreign self-employed experience is counted).

Check requirements here:

yep, i saw your comment after posting my, well, its quite a... silly mistake, but it does not stop from applying again via FSW if.. if as you said an applicant practiced abroad.
