Is work on the backlog expected to end soon?

I understand why it's being done, but do they have an estimate of when the work on it will end so that the rest of the applications will start to be processed? I haven't heard much about PPRs and DMs in a while. Some are coming through, but overall it seems to have been a quiet last few months.

For london visa office the processing time is increasing hence creating more backlog.and only a miracle at london visa can now eliminate the backlog.

They have until the end of the year to complete the clean up.

That's a pretty accurate statement. I have been wondering if the clean out will just be about pushing as many applications through as possible...
