Background Verification In progress and Eligibility not started

Hi,

I submitted Visitor Visa application (Business Visa) on March 25th, 2024 and completed my Biometric on March 28th, 2024. The status still shows as Background Verification as In progress and Eligibility as Not Started. It has been close to three months now. All my colleagues who applied with me got their decision long time ago. Only my application is held up. Any insights on this one?

What is country of residence and citizenship? Past posts from over 10 years ago show that you were applying for PR through CEC.

I submitted super visa application on 24th April and my bio metric submitted 30th April after that i have a same scenarion background check is in process there is no further update on my mother visa either tried to raise web form but no luck over there too.

I was preparing to apply for PR but never did. I raised webform twice, first one being almost 1.5 months ago. I havent heard back yet on both web forms. I have also requested gcms notes about 10 days ago.

We were around 25 people applied for visa. It is just kind of baffling to me as to why out of 25 people, 24 got the response and I am the only one left out.

I completed my biometric appointment for a visitor/tourist visa on March 21st. When I checked my application, it showed "destination unspecified." Is this something to worry about? I believe I entered my destination correctly when applying.
