CAN ANYONES TELL ME WHY MY HUSBAND HAVE TO REDO A BACKGROUND DECLARATION? HE HAS ASK TO REDO IT FROM VISA OFFICE.

KIND REGARDS

J

After an application is moved to the Visa Office (once the sponsorship has been approved), the local Visa Office can ask for additional documents. Mostly, such requests pertain to the forms which are unique to the local visa office. Besides, at any time, a visa office can ask for any documents to help support the information on the file.

ladyjess,

You would need to provide some more context here. Did CIC give you any information as to why? For example: expired background clearances, missing information, incorrect information, etc?

It's hard for people to be able to give you a clear answer otherwise.

SORRY.

IT IS SAME FORM I INCLUDE IN OUR APPLICATION. THE OFFICER CALL MY HUSBAND AND ASK FOR SECOND ONE AGAIN BUT DID NOT GIVE EXPLANATION AS WHY. THAT WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT. NOTHING HAS CHANGED FROM WHEN WE APPLIED.

I also had to redo the form. The form was updated in November of last year. Even though I submitted my application on October 5.

The form in pretty much the same, except it now asks for postal (zip) codes of all previous addresses and status in each country that may have been visited..

All I did was copy and paste the information from my previous form then added the information requested.

I would say to just redo it then. Doesn't take too much time (especially compared to the entire application) and it will get the ball rolling. If the guy didn't mention why, I wouldn't worry too much.

CIC and PR apps are a stressful thing indeed :P

Best of luck!

Dont worry about it.

I was the same when i first realised I had to redo the form. I turned our lounge room into a paper filled mess again.. CIC papers everywhere trying to work out what i needed to do..

Stress for a day, then the stress of waiting for it to be delivered. But all is good now. Im back to the waiting game again. Checking emails and e-cas daily but knowing it will all come soon enough..

Hey Nic,

Someone recently mentioned e-cases to me. What are these and how do I check it? lol

Your application is given a UCI (Unique Client Identifyer) You will have one and your sponsor will also have one.

If you have previously had a visa of any sort for Canada, this number will be the same for all.

If you havent had / or needed a visa the number will be given to you.

Once you recieve correspondence from CIC, you will get a UCI and also a File number (for the application)

It is with these numbers that you can check e-cas (an electronic way of checking on your application without having to call the call centre)

However, I have heard some people do not have any updates on their e-cas until the last step (landing)

From my experience, once my sponsor got the AOR letter, we were able to log on using the UCI and his details to see that our information is on there.

I HAVE ALREADY BEEN APPROVE AS SPONSOR. ALL THE FORM I USE IS OLD FORM. WHY IS THIS ONE THE ONLY ONE THEY REQUEST NEW OF?

I can only assume it helps with their way of doing the background check.

Having the postal (zip) codes and status in each country, may speed up their process...

They wouldnt update a form unless it was of benefit to how the application is assessed.

Let's hope that they dont require any more from us 8)
