Background clearance deadline?

Our application reached the Beirut Visa Office earlier this week, about 2 days ago we received an email stating that we have 30 days to submit several paperwork including

Police certificate in Lebanon
Individual extracts
FBI Clearance since we previously lived in the states.

Most of this isn't a problem except that on the FBI website it states that the entire process needs more then 20 days and after asking some people, they told me it took over a month for them.

Also, my brothers Lebanese individual extract will also take over a month because he is living in Canada and would need to contact the Lebanese embassy for it since we are not able to get one on his behalf in Lebanon.

How should we handle this. would the visa office be willing to extension or is it just hard luck?

Also, does anyone have any idea how close we are to the end now? This is PGP sponsorship, we applied back in January for the lottery.

apply for the police certificate, FBI and extracts and include proof of your application with the requested documents that are available through IRCC webform to your visa office.....and include a letter to explain why there may be delay before those documents will be received by IRCC......just explain and provide some proof to back up your explanation.....IRCC is usually considerate if you explain.
