Hello Qorax,

I would appreciate if you can help to understand the waiting period for medical request for my case,

In third week of July status of my case was updated to "In Process" (& I was waiting for medical request),
but on 2nd of August, instead, I got letter from VO to take the IELTS test to prove claimed language proficiency & my IELTS certificate was delivered to VO on 7th Sept.

Letter from VO has mentioned given points to me in all sections, including for language proficiency (I was not awarded claimed points for language, I was short of 67 points but with IELTS submission I have reached 67 mark).

Since points for all sections were given & no other document was asked to submit, does it mean that they had already done background check, which means I can expect medical in few weeks or they may start background check now after getting my IELTS result, which means it may take few months to get the medical request.

Every evening once I reach home, first thing I do is to check my mail box; when should I expect my medical (in weeks or months)?

I would be thankful to you for your views.

regards....

Yes, it definitely points to the b/g check to be completed. As u had submitted your pps - your security checks r currently on. Usually it takes around 3 months. So, expect your visa by Oct-Nov 2010.

All the very best!

Didn't u submit your IELTS results alongwith your full apps to your VO? If not - the delay is squarely unto u. Probably, they have done your b/g checks already or r in the process of it's winding-up/completion. So, u can expect something by a couple of months. However, one shouldn't rely on "weeks" - as a wait pd. Anything in weeks doesn't figure in the CIC manual/SOP.

Nonetheless, I guess, it'd take around a month or two now, & u'd get your Meds.

All the very best!

Thanks for reply....
One of my friend who got settled (few years back) in Canada, mentioned that he submitted written explanation instead of IELTS; so I followed the same, but that did not work for me. I understand this delay is because of me as I should have submit it within 120 days :(... I have to wait for 1-2 months to see further progress.... thanks again for your view....

Qorax, thanks for your prompt reply.

what is left to VO then (b/ground, meds, interview..., )?

my credit card was charged 7 September (app. received 3 Aug) and I am post-26 June applicant, hoping to pass the eligibility stage and receive 1st AOR. CIO says they are working on pre-25 June applications. what would be your assessment of timing of stages for the post-26 June applicants?

Dear Qorax

The London CHC is issuing two different 2nd AOR with the following sentences to applicants. Why it is so?

1. "a further determination will be made as to whether or not you are eligible?"

2. "your application has been determined eligible for further processing"

1. That Cr. Card encashment is a positive sign.
2. I'm not sure about post-Jun26* situations. There's no feedback on it yet.

All the best!

Dear Qorux
i would be happy if you please help me understand the following:
I am an applicant pre 26, june , 2010 and I collected the PCC that was 1 months old when i submitted my initial application to the CIO, Canada . Later, I submitted it (it was more than 6 months then) with full docs . I am little bit confused whether it will be taken or not. I read some threads and the CIC website that the PCC should not be more than 3 months old when an applicant submits initial application to the CIO,canada. now 120 days, the time frame given by the visa office, elapsed . Is it possible to send a PCC to the visa office if 120 days elapsed. should i send it again?\
all the best wishes for you

Dear Qorax,

Thanks for your reply. I have to the 2nd AOR date & then inform you.
I have sent a mail last month to VO & they have just replied that " Your files is under review now".

SO,1 month over still no news.
Dear Qorax,

We have got 2AOR on 17th February. So I think we can order CAIPS now. I have informed our consultant today & he is not interested to order this. You have mentioned that only Canadian PR can apply this. Would you kindly inform how can we order now?

Do you have any idea, After got the mail from CHC that “Your files is under review now” how long they took time for process? We have informed our consultant & he informed that end of this month he will write again.

Thanks

Hi Qorax,

How r u doing?

Bro just wanna ask that I lodged my full application to Sydney Australia, and I am Indian National,

1. Do Sydney Australia office will make a decision and background checks on my application by themselves or they will depend on the Indian CHC to find out the verifications and other background checks for Sydney VO.?

2. And I submitted my work experience letters without notarized contract, because I don't have any. Will that be fine.

Thanks

1. They can use either or both methods. Ditto for the security checks.
2. Usually it's fine. If they have any issues - they'd ask.
