My medicals have been sent to London because I was asked to do so, even though my case is being handled by Ottawa. Ottawa sent me an email saying that my medicals are now with Health Canada. Does anyone know what they do... never heard of Health Canada within this process. Is it now when they start doing my criminal check then...

Every med result has to be passed by PMB-Ottawa, however submitted in any CHC. That thing is centralized. Health Canada, IMHO, could be a part of the process, though I'm not sure.

Security checks would only commence after your DMP's report has been passed.

Dear Qorax
Thanks for the help u extended to me last week.
I want to ask that I have received 2bd AOR on 31st August. Should i expect the chane in my status ''In-Process'' by october/december or by January?

Hinna

Expect something after 4-5 months from the 2nd AOR. Anything earlier must be viewed as a bonus - not assured, not usual.

hello qorax...so does it mean that once an applicant got 2nd AOR it only shows that he/she reach the 67 points needed to be able for his papers to be processed???
Thank You Qorax :)

Hi friends,

Just a doubt. I saw in several threads that some of the applicants mentioned "interview waived" in their signature etc. How do we know about waiver of interview etc. I got Medicals/RPRF request and sent the same as well. But never got a communication about waiver of interview if any...

Dear Qorax,

I had received my medical, rprf and pp request together from N Delhi CHC. Does it mean that my background checks were over when they issued the same ?

I submitted my medical+rprf+pp in mid July and have still not received my passport back with the visa even after completion of more than 2 months. What could be the reason ?

Can you kindly answer the above two queries.

Regards,

Post June-26, the VO step has been eliminated. Now the same is done by the CIO-NS. Actually, both these steps r now clubbed together.

Qorax

Qorax, thanks for your prompt reply.

what is left to VO then (b/ground, meds, interview..., )?

my credit card was charged 7 September (app. received 3 Aug) and I am post-26 June applicant, hoping to pass the eligibility stage and receive 1st AOR. CIO says they are working on pre-25 June applications. what would be your assessment of timing of stages for the post-26 June applicants?

Regards,

Dear Qorax,
You are very informative. Like many of this forum I also salute you.

As I understand that eCAS shows "In Process" when the standard B/C is going on. am I right?
Actually I am a bit worried about my POF. Do I need to freeze the money for the whole time?
regards

WHEN YOU GET MEDICAL & RPRF REQUEST ITS MEAN YOU INTERVEIW HAS BAAN WAIVED THERE ARE ONLY 0.1% ARE CHNCES THAT THEY MIGHT ASK FOR INTERVEIW IF SOME THINGS REALLY GOES BAD .. OTHERWISE YOUR NEXT STAGE IS REQUEST OF PASSPORT :)

GUD LUCK

1. Correctness of the application.
2. Completeness of the supporting docs.
3. Xcheck your case against eligibility with the MI List.
4. Recalculate your points, once again.

IN THIS CASE I BELIVE ITS YOUR FIRST AOR AGAIN BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN TWO OR THREE CASES WHERE THEY GOT NEW FILE NO... I WOULD RECOMMAND YOU TO CHECK ECASE FREQUENTLY AS IT MIGHT CHANGE TO 'IN PROGRESS' THEN YAH ITS IS SECOND AOR....

Yes, it definitely points to the b/g check to be completed. As u had submitted your pps - your security checks r currently on. Usually it takes around 3 months. So, expect your visa by Oct-Nov 2010.

All the very best!

1. Yes, it means that your b/g checks r ON.
2. No, u don't need to keep your funds locked. U can perform regular transactions. Just remember to maintain around 70% of the required funds in the a/c always. However, as u get to your Meds - it'd be wise to keep the full funds untouched.

All the best!
