Thanks for your prompt reply, does it also mean that overseas driving without car insurance offence wouldn't make me inadmissible to canada?

Dear Qorax,

I hope you are fine. Can you please kindly share your thoughts and ideas about my case. I did my medicals on 24 April and since then I am waiting for my PPRs. I have generally seen that mostly ppl (80-85%) get their PPR in about 8 months max. Do you think there is some thing wrong in my case thatswhy more than 9 months have passed and I have not got my PPR or is it because LVO have got a huge backlog and its normal.

One more thing I want to ask is that I got the reply of my last CSI on 8 Jan which was "Please be advised that the above file is currently awaiting officer review and you will be advised if any additional information is required."

Do you think it is one of the delaying tactics of the VO as I have seen with some forum members who get PPR after this reply and for some forum members didn't get PPR instead they get reply to their next CSI that B/G checks outstanding? Could you please kindly shed some light on it.

No I didn't get medical request.

Well I'm in big confusion because I'm getting a good job with handsome salary, and I've to reply my response till feb15th 2013, and in one side I'm stuck in this work experience checking thing , which till now I don't know is it worth risking the job offer or not??

It is your personal decision. If I were you, I would would do what is in my control - take the job offer, move on and inform the VO of the change in my circumstances.

The immigration is not in my control. It would take its own course.

1. Yes. U r stuck with security checks. Regretfully u cannot do anything about it but to wait.
2. Rather than a 'delaying tactics' it's just "sweet nothings" actually... that statement means NOTHING.

I submitted my passport last week to LVO and my ECAS changed to decision made yesterday but without any change of address to Canadian address, when will my address change to Canadian address . Below is my what is written on my ECAS


We received your application for permanent residence on April 17, 2012.

We started processing your application on October 28, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Dear Qorax,
My spouse was offended with driving without insurance in 2009 in the UK, and got IN10 code on his driving license. He had to pay around 350 fine and his license got suspended. The letter he received from DVLA says 'Driving offence'. He reapplied for a driving license and regained his driving license within couple of months and started driving legally. He wasn't imprisoned.
Now ill be applying as a main applicant and my spouse on my dependant.
My concerns are:
1. Is this offence considered as criminal offence in canada?
2. Am i/we are inadmissible for this kind of offence?

Moreover, do you come a cross with a background check where the person call and says that due to quality control this conversation will be recorded. Bearing in mind he did not mentioned that it is verification call as it is just a random survey.
