I got a reply to my case specific query as below :-

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

Under Canada’s immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

when would the background checks be completed?
Can I order caips notes from India and would they be helpful at this stage?
How much time will it take?
Can the application be rejected now?
What are the outside agencies who conduct these investigation?

Hi all,

I need your help. My interview was at the new Delhi office on 26th april and after that I got a reply from the office which says :In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time.:

What does this mean?
How much time will it take?
Can the application be rejected now?
What are the outside agencies who conduct these invetigation?

Dear Qorax.

I looked in above sections of GCMS for due date, I found very strange stuff even though the status of 'eligibility' is 'passed' and status date is '06/16/2011' the due date is '06/15/2012'!! What does that mean? If the task is completed why is there another due date? Is it something related to review of the file? Or my file was transferred to CPP Ottawa from BUFFALO that's why.... I see same stuff for Criminality and Medical. Their status is Passed but again they have due date of June 16th 2012..

Any idea what does that mean? I will really appreciate your response. Thanks

1. VO's work pattern,
2. IO's discretion,
3. Urgency based on the deadline/queue bundles.

Dear Qorax Sir,
Kindly give your opinion on my situation.
I need your help to understand my application processing. Please interpret my case with following information:

Category........: FSW2
Visa Office......: Buffalo but now Ottawa I guess
NOC Code......: 1111
App. Filed.......: May 06 2011
AOR Received from Nova Scotia.: June 16 2011
Doc's Request.: status changed to Inprocess on April 18 2012 and requested additional documents (Tax returns and updated form for history since applied) and given 2 months time to submit them. (dead line date was June 18 2012), before I submit Documents, Buffalo VO has closed their operation, So I send the requested documents to Ottawa in first week on June.

Now my questions are:

Do I need to email Ottawa whether the documents reaches to right place or not, because I didn’t have any conversation with Ottawa?

What should I understand in respect to my application processing, background checks etc.?

Why they have requested additional documents and changed status to in process?
Does my application pass all the verification and back grounds checks alrady?

As per my knowledge, my previous employers never got any call from visa office, what is the possibility to get verification call as I had worked in these companies 5 years back?

My Canadian employer also not gets any call yet, so can he will get verification call or not?

Can I expect medicals from Ottawa because they have already received requested docs?
How long it can take to issue MR, PR?
I am diabetic so, can it be a wrong impact in medical?

Please give me your valuable thoughts.

Around 3rd qtr of this yr. ur file would come out of the mandatory 2-yrs. 'wait queue', then it's processing would recommence.

How can i know about it? I had send them an updation regarding my job change on feb 2012. But i didt get any reply from them about it. Its shown in my CAS that my application was reviewed and started processing on December 2011. But i gave my updation on feb 2012. will there be anything wrong with my application?

Dear Qorax,

some people in this forum got second line saying;

WE STARTED PROCCESING YOUR APPLICATION ON .......

then some of them got MR within 2 weeks and some waiting for couple months.

Also some of the members imlying that BCG for MI3 applicants done at CIO rather than at variuos VO's

I'm MI3 applicant my time line below;

second line on ECAS-WE STARTED PROCCESING YOUR APPLICATION ON 6/06/12

Can you please give your oppinion what stage i'm i ?

Should i expect MR any time or they stiil carying BGC

It means that the full documents that you where instructed by the CIO to be send to your specific visa office was received on that day and those document including the forms and your detail document they termed it as kit
