CHC-ND continues with ur b/ground checks even after asking ur meds. That pp request is unlike the PPRs of other VOs.

Dear Everyone,

I got my PER on 07-Feb-12.After VO receive my docs from CIC ,will I get any acknowledgement mail from VO?
Secondly if they directly issue MR request can anyone share what will be structure of the e-mail.
Thirdly if they issue MR+Passport request will there be any chances to give a verification call to employer ?
Actually I get another job offer with better opportunity ,but I cannot decide whether I will leave my current job or not as I am afraid that after leaving my current company if CHC,ND calls up and my current employer is not willing to share any information or gives any sort of negative information/Untrue information my file will be affected.Seniors,Kindly advise.

You got PER and now you will get AOR from your local VO.
And they can call ur employer even after your pp request.
You may get a email/call/letter by post asking for ur MR/PPR...
Depends on your caseworker which method they will use.

Dear Sir,
My meds were received by CHC in mid december. Later, I sent them my new born's med and PP as well on 23rd Dec. On 22nd they gave me a call saying that they would have issued my Visa the next day, however, now they cannot commit a timeline as my younger son's meds etc were yet to be received.
On 6th Jan, Medicals have been received was added to my Ecas. Since then, am waiting for any news. Only question, would the bg checks still be on in my case? Asking from the waiting time perspective.
regards, D

Dear Qorexto

At last I attended my interview on 9th feb at 14:00 pm .
The visa officer asked just general question about me, my job, my family, weapons training and about my funds, where do I intend to settle in Canada, how much money i have both in liquid and as property.
And at one occasion he asked that are u worried about interview and i replied that no but i've seen people getting visa without any interview and I've been called for interview so i m little bit concerned about this interview then he said that no no i think u are a good potential candidate for Canada but we need some time for somthing..........
The visa officer was polite and interview last for about 40 minutes but he didn't tell me about my background checks completion or any other thing about ppr.
At the end i didn't ask about outcome of my interview because at the beginning he asked me to be specific about every question.
Now what type of interview is this and what would be the out come of the interview????
My remedical is going to expire on 16 march 2012.My visa office is Islamabad.

Background & Security Checks

Note: Our Background Check comprises of 2 parts:
1. The Standard Documentation Checks,
2. The Security & Criminality Checks.

Standard Documentation Checks:
Our background check is done at the CHC stage. It commences the moment our file gets the 1st BFD by the VO. An indicator of which is the e-CAS that shows "In Progress". All docs been checked & our NOC being tallied against the MI, if the VO finds our case 'eligible' for Canadian PR, the file becomes 'Accepted'; and then it goes for standard background checks, viz. Exp, Quals, Adaptability, Qualitative Considerations etc.

The process involves many things. If our case file is well presented and the enclosures vouch the quality-quantity, adequate POF docs etc., there might not be a requirement of 'actually' calling the employers, references etc. The VOs have a way with that, they are experienced enough to ascertain the logical disposition of our case. But, if there are any concerns of his/her, s/he is likely to ask for additional docs, do further scrutiny vide any means [calling, visiting etc.] & might ask for an Interview.

-Culmination: When 'fully' satisfied, we get the 'Medical Request'.
-Timeframe: Can be anything around 3-8* months, for the 'fast track' system (Avg. 4-5 months).
-eCAS: Continues to Show 'In Process'.
*The older system has a queue, thus can be longer.

Security & Criminality Checks:
A part of the b/ground checks is the 'Security Check'. It commences after our med results are submitted to the CHC. This is a major activity -mainly concerning our 'safe inclusion' into the Canadian Soil; vis-a-vis, Political, Socio-Econmical, Anti-Social disposition, perceived Threat to Canada's integrity etc. This gets us the SDEC, CDEC & SECCRIM.

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services], Prolonged stay in a country w/out sufficient docs to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations, your *Name (?), Inter-Religion/Nationality Marriages etc.

If everything is simple & straight, the file soon gets into the 'final review' stage. If there are any 'red flags', our case goes into a 'spin'. Then our file might go to the local Police/CID agencies; the outcome/timeframe of which is beyond the control of CIC. And thereby the timeframe can be anything [sometimes beyond 1yr]. But, usually this stage should be over by 5 months max. However, a point to be noted is that we can also be called for an Interview [at this stage], due to this reason.

-Culmination: Only upon security clearance we receive the PPR.
-Timeframe: Around 2-6 months. Avg. 3 months. [With new system, sometimes PPR is clubbed with Meds]
-eCAS: Still 'In Process', but 'Med Results Recd.' inside.

*Yes, that's how a certain Mr. Sharukh Khan was detained for 4.5 hrs in an US port. He was a VIP, thus 4.5 hrs. For u & me -things could be different.
...
The Process in a Nutshell:

Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Qualitative Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >

Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Eligibility Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >

Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
*The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together.

Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".
...

Qorax

Hi Qorex,
I received my Medicals yesterday .
They didn't ask me to pay Right to residance fees, but ask me to send updated POlice certificates and "New perm residance application, new Background check app , New add family form " .
Why they need new form when they got all my app forms ?
Do we suppose to receive RRF with MR ?
Please advice .

Congratulation. May be they damaged your file somehow that's why asking fresh one, just send them all documents they asked for. Don't worry, you will get request for residency fees soon. ;D

Dear Qorax,

Could you kindly just give me some idea on what this means:

I got an email saying that your file is awaiting review by an IO . Bckground checks seems to be complete.

Now what does this email mean .. its been over 5 months since medical.

FSW/Medical done Aug 2011. London visa office. Applied March 2011.

Thanks in advance.
