Background status:
Its been 45 days (june 5, 2017 till today july 20, 2017) your file is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Before it was next step is to counduct your background check for about 2 weeks. Now its been so long nothing changed from. We will send you a message when we start your background check..

Want to know what to do? How long ut gonna take more? Or what should i do?

Please if someone can help me out.. Thx.
I am assuming you are CEC applicant from your medical date.,
They are definitely checking your file for sure, but something is causing the delay here, best way is to call them and ask simple questions like, Have I passed eligibility/criminality etc. or what is the current status of processing etc.? This is the only quick way to know.
Another is to order GCMS notes, but it will take 30 days to come, still I suggest you order a set.

The best way is to order GCMS notes. Sometime when you order notes, it helps move the file. Also, it will let you know if your eligibility is passed. In some cases, the eligibility is only recommended passed and is waiting an officer review. GCMS notes will solve both those issues. Also, you can try calling, but they will only give you very brief answer, which may not be very helpful.

What you are stating is what you see in your MyCIC, account. That status will remain the same until your application is approved. When you order GCMS notes, that provides you more in-depth details on what is happening.

There are two different numbers-
Call on, 1-888-242-2100 (If you are in Canada)
Call on, 1-613-944-4000 (If you are from outside Canada)
Calling hours to speak to an agent, Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM, Canadian time.
You will have to extract information out of them, sometimes people ask , "what is status of my application" they give a vague answer, if this happens ask specifically that, "has my eligibility check done" or like, "what is the status of my criminality check" etc.
All the best.

Hi guys,
Need some advice.
My background status changed from NA since end of May to ( we are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information). What stage is this? IP1 or IP2?
They asked additional doc related to my work experience and giving me 30 days for that.. (done). After that they asked additional doc of my job offer, which my agent will submit in this week.
How far I'm to finalize the process?
Thanks

Just wondering why they need more info even tho my LMIA was approved and first agent didn't raise any question on that but review officer at visa office wants more info and asked why the company wants to hire me? What does that all mean? Don't they check from reference number provided on LMIA?

They do, but many candidates have reported this with LMIA, should be some kind of quality assurance. If your documents are in order nothing to worry. Just upload the docs asked by them, you will be fine.
