Background Check

Out of Curiosity i was just wondering what the background check entails?

I would assume they're corroborating the information you've provided to them, plus checking if they find anything unwelcoming (like terrorism s*** or whatever).

But I imagine CIC do it over a friendly game of beer pong or whatever.

When i was 18 i got arrested, i was let go and was never charged. my last 3 police checks come clean but i am curious would a background/security check show this? And would that be a potential problem for me?

If you were never charged, it should not show up. Anyhow, if arrest was made for a civil misconduct, you are still fine. Only convicted criminal cases cause problems.
