Background check stuck for two months from Abu Dhabi embassy for Canada visitor visa

Hi Guys,

I have completed my biomatrics on 9th Feb 2024 for Canada visitor visa since now the background check and eligibility stuck, I have reservation in hotel from 1st June till 10th June should I change my vacation date? And usually how long it takes from UAE for background check because majority of my friends got their visa even within 20 days, any email or concerned source where I can follow up or request for early evaluation of my application.

Was it a visitor visa application? Did you apply using the new portal? The processing time for UAE shows 215 days

Yes it is visitor visa application and old portal I guess

Have your friends applied from the Old Portal aswell? I've heard its much faster using the new portal

I applied for my parents recently from Oman (Abu Dhabi visa office), trying to understand how long it is taking people to get their visitor visa's now.

UAE processing time reduced to 69 days.
