Please share the program you applied under (CEC inland, FSW outland, etc.) and your timeline after the background check status changed to "In progress" for the second time.

Thanks!

In general, people have been getting PPR (after their BG check turned in progress second time) anytime after 3 days to 2 months.

Thanks for your reply.

It might depend on the visa office though.

For example, most of CEC inland applications have a pretty consistent timeline. However, there is very little information on when the background check went from "not needed" to "in progress" for the second time.

I think, it would be helpful if we could figure out if it is just a random number of days that depends purely on each individual case or there is some pattern and it usually takes three days here and one month there.

my BGC is showing in progress
medical has been received 4 month before and showing PASS
i sent a enqiry mail one month before to cic for my application status

i got a reply from cic

(we will contacted u as soon as we are in position to proceed with your application.)

Could any one explain how long will take for PPR

There is no pattern. There are too many factors included which affect it, like visa office, stream, officer who assess the application, if the file was sent to another visa office for workload distribution, applicant's travel history, country of citizenship etcetc. That's why you didn't get any replies here.

If you want to get a better insight check last 6 months AOR threads, and their spreadsheets....
