Background check changed to in progress, so it seems like they're moving forward on my file? They asked for the following:
Client Information: Receipt of information from client Please submit documents proving your ongoing cohabitation with your sponsor. This may include but is not limited to: joint ownership of rental property, joint rental receipts, joint utilities accounts (electricity, gas, etc.), important documents that show the same address (e.g. identification documents, insurance policies, driver's licenses, etc.), joint bank accounts, etc. for (old address and current address)
Sponsor Questionnaire IMM5540: A newly completed Sponsor Questionnaire (IMM5540) bearing an original signature
My questions are:
1) I have a lease renewal for my current apartment that my partner and I signed in November of this year, as well as renewal of our joint insurance. That's pretty much all we have that hasn't already been submitted, in addition to recent evidence of e-transfers for rent. Should I resubmit all the old evidence as well?
Also, we had minimal proof for our first apartment (moved out of there in Nov 2015; I myself wasn't even on a lease - long story, but we have affidavits, joint moving evidence, etc.). Since we're over 1 year together now at our current apartment, do you think more evidence for that alone will suffice?
2) Sponsor questionnaire - for my initial application, I included tons of photos and backstory in the sponsor questionnaire form, as additional attachments. There's a 5 MB limit to the form that needs to be sent back to CIC, so should I forego including all the photos this time? I'm wondering why this needs to be resent, as it was quite thorough the first time around. Any insight you might have into this would be appreciated!
