Background Check for PR : Ontario Nominees

Hi All
Just wanted to check do the cic officers really call / email / visit past employers to verify work documentation before issuing PPR.?
Is there any provincial nominee whose work experience was verified by cic ?

My employee did get call from my provincial app.
But they haven't received call from CIC yet...
my AOR on Nov 04...still waiting for my PPR... :-\
