Back ground check

Hi everyone,

I have applied for my study permit in September, after a few weeks my application status was and still is in back ground check! in the web site the processing time was 13 weeks which till now it has been 14 weeks. Does anyone know how long usually does a background check take long? I need to mention that I'm going to study my masters in BC and i have done my bachelor's degree in the UK.
hope someone can help me out cause it's stressing me out.

I am in the same situation
Processing time was 13 weeks
Applied on 18th september. In my 14th week now.
I dont know how much more time it will take
Done with medical and the classes are going to start in the first week of January.
Stressing too with the christmas holidays coming up
