2. Is it necessary for the applicant ( permanent resident ) to be working inside Canada in order to apply for a new born baby immigration ?

As a PR, she must be in Canada in order to sponsor her child to come to Canada. The processing time depends on where the child is located.

Hi,

Me & Wife are both PR holders & are planning to migrate to Toronto, Canada by April 2014. My daughter was born in September 2013 in India & we have got her V-1 visa approved so that we can take her along with her to Canada in April 2014. We then intend to sponsor her PR. My questions are:

1) Is the V-1 visa (visitor visa) same as TRV visa?
2) How long can my daughter stay in Canada on this visa at a stretch?
3) How long would it take to get my daughter's PR
4) Is it difficult to obtain an infant's PR if both the parents are PR holders & are in Canada.

Thanks in advance!
