Hello,

I am applying for my new born's "Proof of Citizenship" application online. I went through the application and have a few questions. Hope someone who has already gone through the process can help with some answers.

1. I am Canadian Citizen and I am applying online on behalf of my child. Should I include my spouse's name also in the application.

2. Baby and Mother are in India, and I am in Canada. Which address should I give under Residential Address - Canada or India?

3. What should I answer to the below question?
Is SRI AARNA SAJJA PRAVEEN KUMAR a citizen of one or more countries other than Canada? Yes or No?

4. Please provide Citizenship Certificate details. What should I answer to this question as this is text box in the application?

5. Select 2 pieces of identification (ID) that you'll provide. If applying for your child(ren), provide their IDs (not yours). (required)
Both IDs must show the applicant's name and date of birth. 1 must have a photo on it.

Option 1: Passport or official travel document
Option 2: Driver's license (if applying for a child under 18, upload their driver's license)
Option 3: Canadian health card
Option 4: Government-issued ID (for example: hospital card, school records, or health insurance card)
Option 5: Other government-issued ID. Select if applying for a child with only 1 ID. Upload a letter explaining why the child only has 1 ID in the next step.

I do not have 2 pieces of ID for the new born, I just have 1 for now from India (Aadhar card). What other ID can I provide? And what options should I select? I have selected Option 5, but without selecting other option, I am unable to proceed.

6. I do not see option to upload documents yet. Is that usual or should I finish this first to proceed with the documents upload?

Thanks in advance!

1. I think it would be misrepresentation not to mention them
2. I would think its 'where the family lives' are you visiting Canada or you live in Canada and they live in India? I would suspect they want the applicants address which is your son.
3. This is your son? Yes, I assume India by birth.
4. Provide your citizenship certificate number (see the application instructions it will answer this, there might also be a hover question mark thing that explains)
5. You can upload an explanation and 1 ID. I think the explanation is probably a long version of 'hes a baby'. Could you just get his passport? For my son I got his ID card and then passport and then applied (hes Paraguayan/Canadian).
6. It's the last step before payment because it's based on the question answers.

I have applied for my kid last week got the certificate in 4 days. Now I'm in the middle of applying passport for her. Anyways I can help you with the questions.

1. yes include your spouse details too.

2. include only India address

3. Answer is No since you are claiming your kids as Canadian so the answer is NO. but if you already applied indian passport then Yes.

4. yes mention your (parent) citizenship uci, certificate number, effective date.

5. since you have adhar card check the 4th option and also check the 5th option as well later page you will be asked to upload explanation letter why your kid has only one id. write something from chat gpt for explanation.

6. once u complete all questions then u will be taken to documents upload page

thanks

Hi, did you get your AOR? what option did you select for this question?
Is SRI AARNA SAJJA PRAVEEN KUMAR a citizen of one or more countries other than Canada? Yes or No?

And I don't have aadhar card . I applied for it and it's been 40 days, still I didn't get aadhar. I only have birth certificate, can I apply with birth certificate as proof of 1 ID and other ID, can I wrote explanation letter?
