I have currently given birth abroad I am a canadian citizen and so is the father I am trying to bring my child back to canada as soon as possible but having a lot of issues regarding passports am i suppose to get a passport thats canadian or can i just get one from the country she was born ? I have spoken to many people in the embacy and getting different answers from everyone at this point it would just be easier to get a passport from the country we are currently in ??? help plz

You would first need to apply for a Certificate of Citizenship for the child. Once you've submitted that application, you can then immediately apply for a limited validity Canadian passport for your child.
If the country you are in is visa-exempt and will grant your child citizenship (double check, as most don't grant citizenship unless a parent is a citizen/resident), then by all means, get that passport and then apply for the Canadian Certificate and passport once you get to Canada.

THANKS SO much for a reply here Im in the country of Colombia do you know if thats a visa exempt also I did not put a fathers name on the birth certificate to avoid more paper work ive looked into applying for the certificate of citizenship and all but its not the easiest process i want to just get out of here and deal with it all once i get back

As said above, Colombia is not visa-exempt. If the child can get a Colombian passport, your only other option would be a Facilitation visa. I'm not too familiar with that process and would advise that you just submit the Certificate of Citizenship app and apply for the child's Canadian passport.
