I've been living in Canada as a visitor while waiting out the PR process since August. When I arrived, I brought all my clothes, books, DVDs, video games and consoles, the cat's stuff, and a whole bunch of knitting stuff. How do I handle that when I land? List it on the B4, but tell them it's already in the country? Only list the valuable stuff (which is probably the consoles and yarn)? I don't actually have much stuff in the US; we purged the big stuff because I had to abandon anything that wouldn't fit in my Toyota Echo (which I have also since purged because it wasn't worth the hassles it was creating). If the CoPR arrives while I'm in the US for the holidays, I can at least have the laptop actually with me, plus any presents and other shopping we might do before going home.
Also, do I need to declare my engagement and wedding rings if the engagement ring was his grandmother's wedding ring (and thus Canadian from the beginning) and he bought the wedding rings online and had them shipped to his apartment in Canada?
