Asylum is a very long process with no guarantees. The system is also extremely overwhelmed. You are going to have to become very patient it could take years to get a hearing where you may be approved/refused.okay so i'll wait thanks for your update

gay has best chance is what i learned. better to claim refugee after you have settled a bit. passport will be taken and not allow you to study or work immediately. find a cash job maybe.Hello,
I am a national of a country where there is an active war and its main airport is closed, thus I now moved to my mothers country on permanent status which is renewed every five years.
The country I moved to has a minor civil war between the goverment and another militia, and that militia is based where my mother's ethinicly is from. Therefore we are facing very alarming and uneven treatment from the goverment.
I am also sexually gay and my sexual orientation is a crime both in the country that i reside in and the cournty of my nationality and the punshiment goes up to the death penalty.
I have successfully aquired my student permit and planning to apply for asylum at the point of entry.
what are my chances?
Thanks.
If you can show you are part of the LGBTQIA+ and you can prove your life is at risk in your home country that is grounds for asylum. It is an awful idea to not claim asylum immediately if your life is truly at risk and also a bad idea to work illegally and not follow immigration laws.gay has best chance is what i learned. better to claim refugee after you have settled a bit. passport will be taken and not allow you to study or work immediately. find a cash job maybe.
Is there is a pathway to citizenship through your mother? It would be very unusual to get a study permit if you were from a country at war where there was zero chance of returning. You have to provide some proof that you are part of the LGBTQI+ and that you have proof that your life would be at risk as part of the LGBTQIA+.My grounds are that my country of citizenship is fully in a state of war and there is no actual international airport to get in there, In addition to my sexual orientation point as well.
However what do you mea
