no college has PG level course in Alberta !!!But i think you must check macewan university edmonton

Gpo to international center at St. James campus ask for student services office for on campus job. The office earlier used to be at 5th floor, keep surfing on GBC website.

I got offer letter from humber college in wireless telecommunication.
As the program is only for 8 months from jan to august,pls tell me about the work permit????
Does the wp increases on doing one more pg program like project mgt after wireless telecom???
Can i change the program from humber college to fleming college in wireless inf.networking pg program for 2 years,pls tell the refund policy and extending visa point of view???
My ed.loan is about to sanction for 11 lacs and medical on next weak.i was about to apply after it but now fully confused,pls sort my problem.
i will be thankful to you.

Brother you have a nice profile, i wont suggest you to waste money in 8 months course, though you can get 1yr work permit and you need to have a nice job with full support of your employer to get your work permit extension by way of LMO(Labor Market Opinion)
Your work permit will be Post Grad work permit which will be issued once so you need to complete your all planned studies and then apply work permit so you can actually complete 1yr course and then continue studies in another course and if you are done you can apply for work permit. But if you want to complete 8months course and then apply work permit and continue studies than you will not get any work permit based on studies

I will suggest you to choose a course before landing (refund of fees is allowed in 15days of start of course) as it involve a lot of money. I am not sure what you are expecting after completion of wireless courses as you will end up spending $24000 on fees and rest average $20000 on living expenses in two years, so getting a related job over $48k p.a in necessary to cover up your expenses you are making in your studies.

I am not discouraging but you should know your financials before making a step, try a one year course or else be prepared to own a huge debt.

a) Complete 2 PG programs,one after the other like First i will do PG diploma in Wireless Telecommunication at Humber (8 months) and then PG diploma in Project Mgt.at any college.Will this two 8 months program be considered as 2 years program and will it increase my work permit to 3 years ???
b) Second is come to canada and change my college from Humber to Fleming in same PG diploma program.But Humber is offering 1 year PG Program in wireless telecommunication and Fleming is offering 2 year PG program in wireless networking.Will i get admission in this college and will i get refund from humber college ??? And do i need to inform CIC in this case when both program levels are same ???
c) Last option is completing PG program of wireless telecommunication at humber and then shifting to manitoba or sasketwin if i dnt get any job in toronto ???

I have my relatives in Toronto near humber,so i planned humber college.
Please guide me some other program or clear my queries and suggest which plan should i follow to obtain VISA and later on PR.
Pls guide the best solutions.

Ok, so from your post it is well clear the purpose of your study in PR and not career orientation...! So tell me one thing who the hell suggested you this Humber college ....? you better try getting a Letter of Acceptance from flemming directly or otherwise go for project management course in humber of 1 yr.

Your 8 months studies will be treated as ONE ACADEMIC YEAR and it may give you 1year work permit, though 99% of students received 1yr work permit but some received 8 month work permit(It totally depends when you file application you must have to write completed one academic year instead of 8 months in duration of your program field)

Whenever you change college you need to obtain fresh study permit and hence has to inform CIC for your changes in study.
Before you continue dreaming for Canadian life make sure Hell is not much different than Manitoba and Saskatchwen where people work labor jobs for 12hours on basic pay, tiring day, no holidays, living in brothel type basements.

But as you look educated I will suggest to work hard on your project management course you get 90days time to file work permit after last day of you exam so you can search for a nice job during that 90days time and then apply for your Post Graduate Work Permit and enjoy your work in Toronto work hard to get LMO and work permit extension otherwise you have to go back and then File PR under CEC class where rules are changing from Jan2013 and after one year study and one year canadian experience you can file PR.

I will suggest you to look for courses in college like George Brown too and keep Humber as last option as even genuine students are facing rejections due to their selection of course in Humber.

Trust me,,, u do not have any good question.,, all u need is 3 year pgwp or easy job.. for 3 year pgwp u need 2 years or 4 semesters study either diploma or 2 diplomas wat ever...
easy job= luck+hardwork+communication skills, as i can see you have average skills.. So try to go for 1st option 2 year diploma or 2 diplomas..
People will play with words.. i will tell u direct..

I think a few important things need to be addressed in this post and many young people need a reality check.
All community colleges in Toronto (Sheridan, Humber, Seneca, GB, etc.) are of equal, accredited standing. You will get a good education no matter which program or college you choose. HOWEVER, the false illusion is that getting a diploma/degree/certificate AUTOMATICALLY MEANS that you will
get a good job once you graduate. This is FALSE. Getting a job in your field heavily depends on volunteer work, experience, and networking. A degree will simply help you get your foot in the door.

Even native Canadian/US students don't find work after they graduate and find themselves working in the low ranks before they attain their goals. Education is not a magic ticket. PLEASE understand this clearly and wake up. It's human nature to always displace blame on other factors, and your lack of success has NOTHING to do with the school you graduate from.

hey my name is pavin. I have some questions & i need to ask you for suggestions.

my situation: i applied in software development (bsd) in seneca in 2011 , got admission but didn't get visa. (i live in sweden, studing software development as well there, my nationality bangladeshi and my visa office is uk). I applied this year again for admission but waiting for my result. i have full 4 years tuition fees to pay in my bank account also 1 year living + travel expense ready without taking any loan. my questions are:

1. do the visa officers will reject my application because i'm applying to a college?
2. can i send my visa application package to singapore( coz all bangladeshi application goes there) or i have to send to UK?

plz lemme knw i'm getting worried.

p.s i'll also appoint a lawyer from canada to help with my application.

I am 4 year gradute and want to apply for advance diploma as my Ielts band was 6 and to be frank i feel like advance diploma has more practicle contents then masters and for masters GPA shoould be high and ielts band should be 7.. instead of giving ielts again which i feel useless because GPA will not change i think advance diplomas for 2 years can take me 2 the path of PR latter because i cna get 3 years work permit after holding diploma?? what you suggest?? do u know any gove recognised cheaper institute which is good for digital media? as digital media courses are expensive..... but i am thinking from PR point of view as well people are saying that diploma after graduating can reduce the chances of getting visa?? but advance diploma contents have so may courses which we did not even study in Graduation like digital media immaging and els..

2 year diploma eligible lately for PR.... or Masters is mendatory? for PR??

can anybody tell is PGD suitable to apply after you have done regular MBA. I have 5 years of work experience and can i get my visa if I apply for PGD in any college like Humber or anyother public colleges? or should I go for university course but then there is cost constraint I do have 25000$ in my account so far. Please guide seniors or any one who have almost similar situations,Thanks
