Average time to get acknowledgment - Citizenship

Hi All,

I submitted all my documents to the Case processing center in Sydney, Nova Scotia on 3/25/2013 and it was reached there on 3/27/2013 (Receipt from FEDEX).

However I have not yet received any acknowledgement from them either by email or by post. It is almost 3 months now.

Whats the average time to get an acknowledgement from them and how do they send it ?

Is there a way to track it online..?? What do I use as the tracking number i.e can I use my PR number ?

it takes sometime long...
i got mine afte 2&half months
You can check the status online...
go to
cic website
Check application status
choose grant of citizenship option
give PR card number as in Clien ID
last name
date of birth
countary
you may have latest update available online....

do you have access to your ecas?

You should call them to find out. Mine was received on March 18th and they started processing on May 3rd. Ecas was updated on May 5th. So that was more than a month and a half ago. And I received the acknowledgement letter in the mail 3 weeks after Ecas started showing. And today I saw another post: his application was received on April 11th, and now his ecas shows that his application has been in process since June 19th. So I would definitely call them to find out what is going on with your application.
