Thank you for your detailed response. You guys are awesome :)

Thanks Asivad (as always) and DexMoody

I have one more question.
Infact I had another thread opened for this but did not get much response there. So asking again.

I am showing 35K CAD, which is more than double the amount in cash needed according to the LICO table.
However, all that amount I am showing is collected in one account within last 4-5 months.
This is my salary account and 18K - 19K of that 35K is from my salary, which is easy to prove since the salary transactions are visible in the bank statements.

My question is about the other 15k to 17k amount which I had saved in other accounts and transferred from there over the
last 3-4 months period. About 6k of that money is contributed by my wife from her salary account to this account.

So in this case do I need to produce Bank Statements of my other accounts from where I transferred money
and my wife's salary account also ? Or a letter of explanation explaining the above situation is enough..?

Or just the last 6 months bank statements of my primary account is enough ?

Thanks again ! :)

If all you need to showcase is $15K, source of funds shouldn't be a problem in this case. Add an LOE to highlight how your salary savings alone add up to the required amount. Also explain that the remaining funds are irrelevant to the POF scenario but provide a quick background to their sources as well.

It will be painfully difficult to conclusively prove that you owned these funds. Recommend that you deposit these funds in your spouse's (or some relative's or friend's) account. Get them to then transfer the funds to your account in a single transaction. Showcase that transaction as a gift from spouse/relative/friend along with a signed self-declaration from them explicitly stating that this transfer is a gift not a loan. Submit this along with bank letter having all details as required by IRCC. This would suffice and also be the least complicated method of showcasing POF which exclusively belongs to you and isn't borrowed. IRCC won't ask for the donor's source of funds.

All the best!

Can't thank you enough for this clarity. Again.. You Rock!! Now fingers crossed going to submit as per all your suggestions.. Thanks again!

Hi

Please help me...

for POF I have submitted the Bank Letter confirming my Name, Account no, date of opening, current balance, current balance in CAD (converted by Bank), on letterhead with all bank details, signed and stamped. However, they refused to write 6 months balance on the letter. Instead I have submitted 6 months bank statement (which is stamped in bank seal).

Is that good enough?
