Hello,
My husband and I were asked to leave Canada in 1998. As our children are in Canada, we have tried to apply for a visitor visa a few times and they were all been rejected. In the last rejection visa they mentioned ARC (Authorization to Return to Canada) is required so in June 2016 we applied for temporary visitor visa and included an ARC letter explaining that we would like to come to Canada to visit our children and attend our child's Wedding ceremony. In August they asked us to pay the ARC fees (800 in total).
We submitted a criminal record check to prove that we pass the clearance and pretty much the mistake we made was not to leave Canada within the 30 days due to not really knowing the consequences and bad advice and lack of English efficiency
My question is: What should I be expecting next?
How long does it take for the ARC to be processed?
Any information will be appreciated. Many thanks.
