Thank you everyone. I'm currently in the process of applying for a WHV through IEC. Does anyone know if they will require me to get health insurance for the term of the Visa?
Yes. There is no reciprocal agreement between Canada and Australia. You're going to show up pregnant and even if you are able to get provincial coverage it won't kick in the day you land. http://www.health.alberta.ca/AHCIP/temporary-residents.html

Actually, in AB, when coming directly from a foreign country, you DO get coverage starting from the day you land. I know plenty of people who have come to AB on work permits and there is no waiting period in AB if you are moving from abroad.

Yes, that's a standard requirement

When landing in AB, you could apply for AB heath insurance but you need proof of insurance as per IEC requirements

AB doesn't have waiting period when landing from abroad, but you need proof of residence (address)
