Hey there!
I just read a thread on another page regarding the fees and processing time.
I only paid the first part of my fees (the sponsor/application fee, not the permanent residency fee) as I thought I'd wait til I got PR approval before paying the other $500.
Does this add a couple of months onto the process????
I didn't know! I would have paid it all upfront otherwise.

Sponsorship approved April 15.
Application received in Sydney May 1st. Status is still on "application received."
Visa NZIEC expires October... hopefully I wont have to be a "visitor" for too long!!!

Status changed to decision made.

I received an email last month to say interview has been waived, and just requesting my final payment.

So, question- it says "decision made" online, when do I officially hear from them and what is the next step to receiving my PR?

Do I automatically get sent a PR card?

We received a request to photocopy all the pages of my hubby's passport and send back another form prior to ecas changing to decision made. I'm assuming they already have all of that information for you and were just waiting for the payment before sending your COPR. Once you receive that, you just have to "land" and provide them with the Canadian address you want the PR card sent to. The card takes about 80 days give or take to arrive.

Did you get a passport request prior?. I just got my decision made on the 10th in Ecas. They then sent me the passport request for the COPR on the 14th. This was visa email, keep checking your email including the spam box, you should hear from them soon! They love to build the suspense :)

Hi everyone

Need some advice. My permanent residency was approved back in early September. We applied via an outland application from Australia but decided to move to Canada in late July before approval and hoped like crazy it would get approved. So now i have an approved perm residency but couldnt get it signed by immigration when going through customs because it hadn't been approved yet. I called Canadian immigration in mid September and was told id receive a call from my local immigration office to organise an appointment to have the document signed. They told me to expect the call in a month. After 7 weeks without getting a call i called them again. I was told should have got a call by now and Ill receive one soon. It has now been another 3 weeks and still nothing. Its really frustrating that my application was approved almost 3 months ago but i still cant work. Does anyone know if i can drive to a land border to get it signed? I've heard conflicting opinions on this. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
