Hello,
Some of you asked me about the Australia migration process so i have created this topic. Hope it helps.
These steps involved if you want to apply for migration on the basis of your occupation with no sponsorship.

General Skilled Migration (subclass 189)
Steps
1: Check your occupation if it’s in the SOL list or not (see link given).
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-occupation-list.htm
2: If it’s in the list, calculate your points and see you meet minimum 60 points (note the higher the points the better chance you have for a invitation)
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/points-tested-migration-fact-sheet.pdf
3. If you scored the minimum points then start gathering your documents like skills assessment, IELTS and other documents e.g. police checks.
For skill assessment you will need to contact the skill assessment authority of your occupation so in the occupation list (link given below) see the last column C it will tell you the assessment authority. There website will have all the information like which documents you need to submit and the cost. Note some authorities takes long time like 3 months so start early.

4. Once you have all the documents fill the EOI (Expression of Interest) Form on the website given below. There is no cost involved and once you submit the form you will get an invitation in 3 months could be early as well depending on the score and the quota of that occupation.
http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/ (see top right it says Submit EOI)
Under report tab you will find when the next lot of invitations will be sent and how many applications have been received so far this year in each occupation.
