Australian Entry as Visitor, Returning Home then Returning to Canada to work

I applied and have been granted a work permit under the IEC program. Prior to applying I had a return trip planned for September just for visiting purposes and intend to relocate to begin and use the work permit in December.

Will i have any problems arriving in september and not wanting to use the work permit just coming in as a visitor ??? then returning to use it ??

I have return tickets for the september trip and a one-way ticket booked for december.

You should be fine, just insure that you use your LOI for the IEC work permit, before it expires.
