Hey just FYI, if your Canadian sponsor can contact his or her MP and they will contact your visa office on their behalf. The visa office doesn't need to respond to you, unless it is beyond the predicted wait time, but they MUST respond to an MPs office. It is right in their operating procedures. Worked for me. Got a response in 5 working days.

You can look it up in their operating procedures and show your MP if they say they can't get you info. I think it also depends on what you're asking, like they prob can't tell you how much longer but they will be able to tell you if they've received documents or if they need further info etc... Give it a shot!

Thanks for your answer...
Bless...I will let you know what is happening...
Good Luck

What to think what to expect?????

Some CIC offices closes?
Some works applications returnned?
Dont get info from the embassy where I sent my application?
Not answer from any MP?

Only be positive will help...

Not sure what you're asking!! Make sure your sponsor contacts the MP for the riding they live in. They are legally required to act on a constituent's behalf and the visa office is also required to respond to an MP. But they won't be able to answer questions about time frames unless it's beyond the recommended time frame posted. They can definitely find out if certain documents have been received @ the visa office. Thts what I asked my MP to find out.
