Australia PR under assessment - Should be mentioned in e-APR

Guys,

I am trying hard for immigration to a decent country and grow my children there.
So, I have applied to both Australia as well as Canada to increase my chances.

I got ITA for Australia, back in October and till date, it is still under assessment.

Do I need to mention anything about it in the e-APR? And if so where?

Not necessary, unless you were denied, which isn't the case.

I was also thinking of applying to Australian Immigration as well, but could not accumulate enough points yet, but as far as I know, as you've already go the ITA from Australia and it is still under process (what I understand is you've already applied for 189 without any nominations) then it sure will process in due time, you just need to wait a while.

If you still want to take a chance you can apply to EE as well. How much points do you get in EE?

@ bellaluna, No, I have not been denied. It is still under processing.

I am from Lebanon and, for us, they do an extensive background and security check and, thus, assessment duration for all cases, that I know of, have taken between Seven to Nine Months in the past year.

Previously, it was taking more than a year.

So, I should basically keep silent about it until they ask...if they ask!


@ bunny2015. Yes I applied for Australia immigration under 189.

For Express Entry, I have 454 points.

I want to proceed with EE for mainly two reasons:
1. I want to increase my chances for immigration. I am already 35 years old and my chances will only decrease drastically with time.
2. My kids are enrolled in French schools, now, so finding a French school in Canada is no problem at all. While in Australia, there are very very few French schools and their fees are exorbitant.

How to Apply for Immigration to Australia Generally speaking there are 2 ways one can apply for Australian Skilled Migration programme.

1. Through Consultants:

One way is through trusted consultants. I shared previously a website that has some Australian consultant reviews

2. Applying Online Yourself:

The second way is to apply online oneself. Below are the details of it. I will try to keep them updated based on group members feedback

1. First of all check if your skills are in the skill occupation list (SOL). These are skills required by Australia and they are updated yearly (July to June next year is a year in immigration books)

2. If your skill is in SOL then choose the Skilled visa type you want to apply.

3. If visa is points based then check your points fulfillment. The pass mark to qualify for EOI - SkillSelect (Subclasses 189, 190 and 489) is 60 points. Of course the more marks you have the more chances you have to qualify.

6. Take IELTS General Exam. As of now IELTS test results are valid for 3 years (36 months) for Australian immigration purposes. Furthermore, the minimum IELTS requirement for principal applicant is 6 band in each module. For any other applicant in the application over 18 years of age IELTS requirements is overall score of 4.5. Applicant below 18 years are exempt from IELTS requirement.


7. Submit EOI through Skillselect.

8. After getting invitation to apply submit further documents on case officer request along with fee for the application.Note: For Australian Immigration as of now there is no minimum bank balance requirement.


9. Once all documents are uploaded to the system wait for the security clearance. This takes most of the immigration time.


10. TIP: It is advised to submit your police and health certificates only when case officer requests for them. This is normally after security clearance. Your landing time depends on police and health certificates expiry which is one year from the date of issuance whichever comes first.


11. If you have reached this step then congratulations on getting your required visa. Validate your visa by giving landing or settling permanently in Australia before the Date of Entry mentioned on visa expires.

@Kirkoven, could you please tell us how much points you got in 189? I'm at 50, but not sure, whether I should apply for 489. as for EOI Submission you qualify at 60, but the last I saw, applicants with the score of 65 and above got the ITAs

In the travel history, I should not include travels between resident country and citizenship country but only to other countries.

Yes, recommended.

Yes, CIC guidelines states likewise. However, there is no harm in providing that information if it's not an overkill.
Can Anyone confirm that?

The problem in travel history is that if I include the travels between resident country and citizenship country, I will exceed the maximum number of entries allowed in e-APR which is 30 as I noticed while filling the same.

Question : can one get PR of two countries at same time. If someone apply for Canada and Australia at same time and if both get accepted?
Is thr any restriction on it or it is allowed ?
