Hello All,
A friend who is not a member of this forum is also expecting his medical but the wife is about 4months pregnant now. Please how can this affect their medical in case the MR comes in as bn expectd? Please, we need our SENIORS' advice in this aspect. I am concerned abt this cos I may also find mysef in this situation very soon o. Pls educate us.
To the best of my knowledge, i believe pregnancy is not a disadvantage in anyway. If she puts to bed before MR, that's additional filing for the infant (int'l passport and the others) If she is to go for MR with her pregnancy, X-Ray becomes very optional for her, at the same time, none of the lab results can be held against her because of her present state. Meanwhile, the chances of PPR coming earlier than anticipated for pregnant applicants is high. Finally, a place like Ontario/Toronto is not advisable for those whose EDD will come within, i think 3month of arrival. I learnt you may have to wait for 3 -6 months before the health cover becomes active. This is not so in Alberta.
These are my views on the subject matter. Seniors will know and be able to advice better.
