yes tantan its the same thing happen to me, i went there early morning and i got my visa at 2:30 pm congrats!!! wow.... good news is coming guys...

Thanks Anne. I did send my original NBI & Police Clearance only.
So its possible that they will asked the passport through courier as well?

Hi ry,

It shouldn't be that negative; if it is not the request for passport, I am guessing it is for Medical Check. Having applied as Cook, which is food related position, the best guess is that, it might be with the forms needed to fill by their accredited physicians.

Even if it Medical request, it is positive as it is a normal procedure for Food handlers.

I think this is my lucky year .. August 28,'12 - VISA APPLICATION in ABU DHABI..
Morning of October 30,'12 ,I've got an email from Canadian Embassy,Abu Dhabi requesting my
original passport.

aside from what micio's said, its a positive because if its refusal letter it could not gone too far as 2months, they are sending back papers and refusal letter as soon as posible, they are not holding papers for long if its negative application.
