Still high and dry. No update. I have stopped checking the status daily. Once a week make it less disappointing

I had the in-person oath ceremony this morning, in Mississauga. It was a bit emotional! We all got paper certificates, I wonder if that's normal? I selected an e-certificate but got a paper one still. Some things to consider:

- The actual ceremony takes 30 minutes tops, however, there is a lot of waiting and document verifying which makes the whole thing last around 2 hours.
- In Mississauga, you need to get Parking. Make sure to get it for 3hrs!

I'll apply for my passport sometime next week since I have a bunch of things I need to take care of first. Also, I need to reach out to my country's embassy, otherwise, they'll revoke my original citizenship in 3 years unless I explicitly sign some documents declaring I want to maintain my original citizenship as well.

You have the option to go with either one. If you had opted for paper one, they will still give the option for e-certificate. It's now up to you to turn down e-certificate and wait for paper one. I am sure they offered you paper because it was an in-person ceremony, as they were already prepared for attendees. This won't be the case for virtual attendees.

yep I did. MP said the agent indicated that there are no issues with the file and that it is routine. File waiting for physical presence and prohibition. Nothing more

Applicants who received a GU on October 27th and been waiting for LPP updates, did the office put them into a separate basket or something? Realized it’s been 6 months since applied online, and 4 months since last update!

Not sure, but I highly believe the grant DF thing stands for last check by a more senior officer and those who are stuck are awaiting a final review by one of those officers, BUT all of this is a speculation and just thoughts from what I observed.

I don’t think it has anything to do with you guys being refugees, I wasn’t and I am also still waiting…applied August 2nd, AOR on September 7th, test update October 17th, than that freaking ghost update October 27th and nothing since!!! Not even physical presence checked, and I’ve been living in Canada for 12 years, became pr in 2014!!! I’m so mad as it seems that there is no order in the way how they process applications!

what does grant DF stand for? I got my PR through FSW and that process was extremely fast. Took less than 3 months from US. So a bit confused what's taking long this time. I have a pretty common name though, not sure if the name has to do anything with the delay.
